I have been so good this year. I would like the following for Christmas. Perfume(viktor&rolf flower bomb), Edwardian earrings, an onyx ring and Kenneth Cole leather boots.

These are a few of my favourite things. (<- I like British spelling.)

1.) Spongebob Squarepants - Spongebob makes me ROFL.

2.) Martha Stewart - I love Martha.

3.) WWII History - I want a tank, I like to shoot guns and Band of Brothers is my favorite movie.

I was at walmart yesterday and ran into a high school friend. I was surprised when he called me homey. The last time it was customary for me to greet my friends as homies was twelve years ago. I’m 27 and I felt like I was in the awkward stage again. How does a 27 year old greet their friends? Well, “To thine own self be true.” My embarrassment lasted 2 seconds. And I replied with, “Hi, how are you?” (And If I was feeling especially happy my salutation would have been a “Howdy.”) I asked how his thanksgiving was and seeing my little girl in my cart he asked if she was my second. Apparently there was a rumor going around that I had a boy after graduating. Wow, I miss high school drama. It was nice to set the record straight that she was in fact my one and only.

There are so many ways my generation has gone wrong. They do what feels good rather than doing what is right. I think one reason is, they’ve forsaken the wisdom of their grandparents and parents. Maybe it’s bacause our examples have let us down. In todays society its normal to have several divorces under your belt, or be a president and lie to a grand jury, or my favorite, movie stars who drive drunk to get publicity. Yeah, destroying families, lying and killing someone after partying too hard is a good thing.

I like the company of those three times my age than my high school homies. Its really too bad more kids my age don’t care to spend time with their elders. Older folks have so much valuable wisdom, humor, and history to share. You know the saying, those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it. I don’t consider myself to be a genius but isn’t avoiding turmoil a good thing? I feel like their wisdom has enlightened me to make better choices to cultivating a happy long life. And so far my life is really good. So, there you have it. Listen to your parents/grandparents/elders. Unless they are lying unfaithful former president.
