Mike Huckabee for President

I don’t buy media propaganda. I don’t entertain it, I don’t even make fun of it. Because the news is just that; a business. I like President Bush. I pray for him. I don’t agree with everything he has done but I respect that he honors the Lord.

I will be voting for the candidate that will uphold the issues that I believe in. In health care, taxes, the sanctity of life and marriage, Israel, immigration and 2nd amendment rights.

I understand that for believers heaven is our home. We know our eternal future and the future we know in scripture. I ‘m going to seriously pray and seek God for the leader that will hold so much responsibility for our future. I have to trust that who ever is elected as our nations President, no matter what happens in our nations in the next 5 years, God is still on the throne.

Proverbs 21:1 “The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.”

1 peter 2:13 “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;”

Camoflauged Sofa

We purchased our current Broyhill plaid sofa at a garage sale for 20 bucks… and we paid too much.

Currently we are sofa shopping. I’ve mentioned my new en devour to a few friends and family and I’ve received all kinds of advice.

Most people suggested sofas with dark fabrics to cleverly hide stains and such.

But I live by a different philosophy. I like to see the mess/stain/dirt. I like to see it so I can clean it.

Masking dirt may seem like a good idea but its disgusting if you really think about it. Spiritually, God doesn’t want us to hide our stains and smells that we acquire in life but to expose them to him, so he can clean them up. In the same way I like being able to see the stain/mess so I can clean it up. I don’t want to sit on a camouflaged food stain. Gross. It will smell and feel gross. Or better yet, avoid making a mess at all.

Call me a germa-phobe if you will but we don’t wear shoes in our house. I don’t like to walk on a germy floor. Have you thought about were your shoes have been in public? Imagine wal-mart bathrooms. And then you wear the same shoes inside your home. Your home. The same place that you kidlets play on. The same place to walk on then go to bed. You take those wal-mart bathroom germs to bed with you. Yes, it may sound extreme of me. But I’m comfortable in my skin.

I understand that most people don’t weekly disinfect their floors. This is plainly my philosophy. My personal preference, my passion. I don’t hold this to anyone else. By no means do I judge someone else who doesn’t do as I do. Thats ridiculous. I would hate to make anyone feel bad. Cleaning preferences are vary and personal and to each their own. This is just my personal preference. I am grateful and gracious to enter into someone home.

A clean home feels good. It smells good. It smells like nothing, like clean. I’m gonna go clean my kitchen.
