Remember Herrera and Hedrick

Remember Herrera and Hedrick, the fantastic duo who defeated the American patriot David Castillo.

WAState2010Primaries

You’re traitors to the 3rd District citizens. David is an asset to this country. You knew you couldn’t come close to Castillo’s passion, credentials, endorsements, and experience. So you conspired together, you selfish ambitious insecure little people. Castillo alone didn’t loose today, we all did.

Jaime Herrera, David Hedrick, you have poor character.

David Castillo’s thank you letter.

Friends,

What a remarkable 16 months this has been. Although I was not victorious in this campaign, I am thankful for the chance to have embarked upon this journey. Callie and I have been amazed at the many incredible people we have met along the way. We’ve met people and built relationships that will last a lifetime. We are so grateful for that.

We have accomplished a great deal with the help of all of you. Sixteen months ago, I was facing a sitting member of Congress who had $600,000 in the bank. Today, we have an open seat and a chance to elect a new member of Congress in the 3rd Congressional District. That is the result of a lot of hard work by so many different people.

Callie and I wish Jaime Herrera and Denny Heck all the best as they enter the final phase of this campaign. Our prayer is that Jaime and her husband Dan, and the Heck family — Denny, Paula, Bob and Tre — stay safe and healthy throughout the rest of the campaign.

A special thank you to all of the people who had me in their homes and hosted meet and greets. Because of you, I was able to personally speak to thousands of people and get to know the concerns of voters in the 3rd Congressional District.

To our many volunteers, I cannot thank you enough for all the phone calls, precinct walking and time you gave at our events. Not to mention that several of you got sunburned while sign waving during these hot days in August! Thank you!

Callie and I are blessed. As many of you know, my decision to run for Congress had nothing to do with ego or ambition. I truly felt it was what God wanted me to do at this time in my life. Although I didn’t win, I am TRULY thankful that He set me on this path. I have come to realize, in a way that I may not have without running this race, what a truly remarkable woman my wife is. She has been my best counselor and a wonderful friend throughout this campaign. For that, I am thankful.

What’s next? The Castillo family is going to get reacquainted with one another – I’ve missed my boy and I am looking forward to spending some quality time with him. I still have a real job as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and I need to get back to work building my business after putting it on hold for over a year now. After that, well, we’ll see where God leads us next.

One last thing. I sincerely hope that all of you stay in touch with us. I mean that. Everyone involved in this has played a role in our lives that we will never forget. I know I will look back on this time, even 20 or 30 years from now, and still be ever thankful for all of you.

God bless you all!

Castillo has shown class all the way through the race. He continues to show class after he lost in such an unlevel playing field. I’ve never seen before where a Republican candidate had to fight his own party.

Seeing what happened, much behind the scenes the public never saw, has caused me to sever ties to the GOP. I don’t have to be Republican to be conservative.

Most telling is that even today, one week later, the attacks and smears against Castillo continue on the Columbian’s comment section.

It proves I was right all along. They have nothing of substance to offer, just attacks against a much better man.

A question everyone needs to be asking, why are so many standing behind Didier in holding out against Dino Rossi, yet these same Hedrick supports are instantly behind Herrera as quickly as Hedrick is, without gaining a single assurance?

Do they consider Herrera already in their pocket?

The GOP is worthless. If the GOP was conservative there wouldn’t be an outcry for the principles found in the Tea Party. We do owe the GOP one thing, they’ve done the work for us of separating the wheat (real conservatives,Castillo) from the chaff (liberal republicans).

Didier supporters busting Rossi need to consider the urgent need right now. We cannot allow Patty two shoes win the seat. And a civil war within the conservative crew will only result in one thing, Patty with a victory in November. God forbid. It’s bad enough the GOP bamboozled 3rd dist. citizens into voting for ignoramus insecure Herrera and her toady Hedrick.

As little in love as I am with Rossi, he is what we have and he is what we want over the alternative. Maybe Didier didn’t get the memo that our objective is the help the Senator in Tennis shoes to the unemployment lines. Yeah?
