There is a plethora of basic skills my generation is devoid of. From respecting elders to proper etiquette with the opposite sex. From work ethic to reading a city map. Unlike most wives, whose husbands dote on their every need to travel. Mine forced me to learn to read a map. We have GPS but now I’m not screwed without it. Moral of the story, the first rule of navigation safety. GPS is a mechanical devise that can fail.
