Yom Kippur War October 6, 1973

38 years ago today, Arab states Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Iraq aided by Saudis and Libyans launched a massive sneak attack on the holiest day in the Jewish calender, Yom Kippur, the day of atonement.  While most of the population was in synagogue embittered Arab forces made a successful assault on Israel taking ground previously lost in the 6-day War.  The first week was devastating on Israels defense, but by the second week momentum shifted and Israel miraculously pwned.  They could have taken Damascus and Cairo.

Whatever Ahmedinejad [A World Without Zionism] may threaten, Israel will survive.
Go Team Israel.
